Stone's Throw will be on retreat in April to work on our latest project - a book of original music and arrangements for Celtic harp and two treble instruments (in our case - violin and flute). Stay tuned for updates on this latest endeavor.
Stone's Throw had a busy past week playing for Zion Lutheran Church, Hickory Kiwanis Club, Corinth Reformed Church, and Glendale Springs Presbyterian Church. Please join us at a Christmas Eve celebration at First Presbyterian - Hickory at 7:00 pm. We love Christmas!

Stone's Throw will be playing at Zion Lutheran Church at the 9:30 service this Sunday, December 10. Come join us at this beautiful celebration of the Second Sunday in Advent.
Stone's Throw is playing at an afternoon tea at First Baptist - Hickory this Sunday afternoon. We are already getting an active Advent and Christmas schedule. If you think you might like to have us do a wee concert or even just provide background music, contact us! We also have a wonderful program for "Olde Christmas" - the celebration of Christmas on January 6 - a tradition brought to the Appalachians by Scottish and Irish Settlers. It is a great extension to the holidays!
Stone’s Throw is actively involved in a variety of musical pursuits this summer. We are traveling, playing our instruments, practicing, and seeking and/or writing new tunes. In the highlights - Diana has just performed a classical recital; Martha is judging the harp competition at the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games this weekend; and Margaret is learning scads of new flute music from her Irish teacher/coach, Kevin Crawford.
